Team Biographies

Craig Orchant, Partner

Craig Orchant is the Managing Partner of ERM Capital. With over 35 years of experience as a professional engineer, investment banker and advisor in energy and infrastructure, Craig has unique breadth and depth of strategic and transactional experience.  With leadership roles at UBS, Deutsche, Barclays Capital, he has advised on over $50bn in M&A transaction value and has led underwriting and capital raising transactions in excess of $100bn across public, private and structured equity markets. Craig also has deep experience in financial hedging transactions in the energy and commodity sectors. Before his many years in the financial world, Craig started his career as a professional geotechnical engineer. Craig earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Master of Science from Cornell University.

Susan Elkind, Partner & COO 
 
Susan Elkind is a Partner and COO of ERM Capital. Susan has over 25 years of investment banking and credit risk management experience in real asset and structure finance transactions, including the evaluation and securitization of billions of dollars of sub investment grade asset-backed portfolios, high-yield debt project development loans, and early-stage developer financing for the former Chemical Bank, Merrill Lynch, and Financial Security Assurance. Susan started her career as a banker in the Public Finance group at Manufacturers Hanover Trust, and has a BS/MBA from New York University Stern School of Business.

Pablo Sandstrom, Senior Advisor 
 
At ERM Capital Pablo is a Senior Advisor and supports marketing efforts of the firm. Prior to ERM Capital, Pablo worked at Morgan Stanley in their London (UK) office. At Morgan Stanley, Pablo was an Associate with the M&A Execution and Financial Institutions Group teams, working on over 20 high profile transactions, including a major pharmaceutical company's defense against its takeover, and many other prominent financial advisory assignments in the international aerospace, banking, telecom and technology industries. Pablo holds a double degree in International Business & Finance from ICADE Business School in Madrid, Spain.

Daisy Dai, Associate 
 
Daisy is an Associate at ERM Capital, involved in financial analysis and evaluation, modeling, and due diligence. Before joining ERM Capital, Daisy’s experience encompassed leadership roles in Infrastructure Construction and New Energy Investment in China, where she served as a Project Manager, leading construction projects and driving the development of key initiatives such as affordable housing and wind farm. She holds an MS in Landscape Architecture from Peking University and is currently pursuing an MBA at New York University's Stern School of Business.
